Description
The car was owned by an English 2CV fan and started life as a Jolly. In 1997 the body was not in good condition and the owner decided to use a well-established company which specialised in Van conversions. When the work was finished in 1998 the owner drove to the south of France to take part in a 2cv meeting where the car got plenty of attention. Apart from the body the engine and mechanicals were all rebuilt and eventually the owner decided to sell to an Australian who had seen the car and coveted it. Hence it landed up in Perth and I purchased it from there. New Michelin tyres were fitted and a thorough service done. Since I have acquired new French original seat covers which need fitting and an original jack, plus 2CV books.
A feature of this fourgonette is its light weight and robust performance and it has a sun roof. My declining health prompts the sale at an asking price of $35,000.
The van can be viewed in Mount Evelyn, Victoria.
