Definitely a funny beast. It seems this was an approved army vehicle, right? (Your French is better than mine, Poupee).
It probably could swim too 😮
No matter whether or not my grasp of French is as you say John, it ain’t good enough to cope with “Lhor” : I’ve got no idea.
Neither are any dictionaries, be they in-the-hand or online, of any help.
Hopefully, someone will come up with the answer.
Maybe it’s a bad French speller and he/she means “Dehors l’armee”, as in “ex army” 🙂
Looks like something created on Scrapheap Challenge.
I assume it has the much revered (on this forum at least) 2 pot mounted aslant the middle and the output shafts to a pair of “rear axles” from whatever fitted.
I reckon it’d be a heap of fun nonetheless!
Cheers, Pottsy
It appears as though we’re looking at a Lhor (manufacturer’s name) “fardier” (wagon, lorry etc). based on AMI mechanicals, with the engine turned 90 degrees so that both front and back axles are driven. Air droppable, and capable of hauling about 500kg behind it.
As can be imagined, its gearing would be somewhat lower than a normal road car.
