    Saturday 19th September

    • 9.00 AM: Meet at Anzac Park (Corner Wool Street & Dean Street Toowong) for coffee and croissants (BYO thermos of coffee, and croissants 🙂 ).
    • 9.30 AM: Depart for Ipswich, travelling via Mt Crosby Road. (This is not the ‘ferry road’, but quite scenic.)
    • 10.15 AM: Arrive Ipswich CBD. Park in Brisbane St (near Waghorn St corner).
    • 10.30 AM – 12.30 PM: Explore CBD. Some suggestions:
      • ‘Top of Town’: The hipster end of Ippy – vintage shops and heritage buildings.
      • Ipswich Art Gallery: Well worth a visit – includes fascinating exhibit about long gone mansion owned by mining magnate, giant video kaleidoscope, and much more.
      • Ipswich Antique Centre: Good fun poking around in beautiful 1895 building.
      • River Heart Parklands: Runs through CBD from Ellenborough Street.1
    • 12.30 PM: Meet for lunch at Ellen’s Place – delicious food in fab café with outside laneway eating area, off Ellenborough Street.
    • After lunch: Check in at accommodation (TBD: To be decided, but plenty of CBD options – Central Motel, Metro Hotel – around $100-$130 range.)
    • 2.30 PM: Afternoon in Queen’s Park – attractions include walks through stunning Japanese Gardens, cute Zoo, Walter Burley Griffin Incinerator (home of Ipswich Little Theatre). Afternoon tea/coffee available on the deck at Queen’s Park Café.
    • 4.30 PM -ish: Return to accommodation for nap before …
    • 6.30-7.00 PM: Drinks followed by dinner at Pumpyard Bar & Brewery. (Fun industrial venue in ground floor of old Technical College. Staggering distance from accommodation.)
    • 10.30-ish: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    Sunday 20th September

    • 9-9.30 AM: Check out of accommodation at 9-9.30 AM (Breakfast TBD.)
    • 10.00 -11.30 AM: Visit The Workshops Rail Museum.
    • 12.00 -12.30 PM: Drive to Marburg via Cobb & Co Route.
