A website for owners of the world's greatest little car

Having completed the Viking raid and damaging a side wall on my trusty Nankang 803’s I have looked into some tyre alternatives for the 2cv.
The cheap and reliable Nankang 803 is no longer available, but I see that they now do an 80 profile CX-668 in both 145r15 and 135r15, are these now our raiding staple?
The other option is to go for a lower profile smart car tyre, 145/65r15;
Briddgstone B340 @ $200+ per tyre
Nankang AS-1 or 135/70r15 @ $145 per tyre
Maxxis MA-P1 $100 per tyre
The lower profile will give slightly lower gearing over an original 125r15, 5200rpm vs 4890rpm @ 100km/ph which is good for raiding, but at the expense of ground clearance and tyre cushioning/rim protection.
I purchased some Maxxis MA-P1’s for road use, but I have a very long LNA gearbox which will benefit from the lower ratio.
What are other people using for raid tyres?
Cheers,
Harley
