From the seller:
1986 2cv6 is in very good mechanical condition, has been resprayed in silver and blue metallic two pack, little or no rust. Paint is very good, and car very presentable generally but not quite concourse standards (some very minor dents and imperfections in doors haven’t been filled, just sprayed over). Front seats are non-original, but have head rests built in and more comfortable than the original and rear seats recovered to match front.
I bought the car in England in 2010, drove it around England and Scotland and brought it back to Australia. I obtained an Engineering Certificate for compliance with the relevant ADRs, involving fitting side impact bars, rear lap-sash belts, child restraint mountings, 2 speed wipers, various warning lights (high beam, parking brake, indicators) and have registered it in ACT after going over the pits.Car is mechanically excellent and reliable – currently in daily use. Engine is strong, blows no smoke, no significant oil leak. Gearbox, brakes and steering also in excellent condition. Has four new tyres. Have 56100 miles on the speedo. Have replaced alternator, front wheel bearing, front king pin, most of exhaust system.
Contact me for further information and better quality photos, Chris 0407 664 843. Car is located just outside Canberra. Can arrange delivery to Sydney or Newcastle if required, happy to ship anywhere in Australia at purchaser’s cost.19 Mar 2013 at 10:26 am #847FroggieParticipant
