Hi Vlatko
It looks like you got some work ahead!
Good luck with your restoration project.
yess. there is a lot of work in perspective, but thats my dream from the childhood.
the work is progressing, slow but for good, here are some pics:
That is an awesome skateboard you got (in the last photo) – and a bit of work 🙂
Big job indeed, Vlatko … I don’t envy you the work involved; all the best with your progress.
I am interested in the rear wheels which do not have the solid centre like the “normal” 2CV’s.
In another forum I have read that it is difficult to balance 2CV wheels on modern machines because of the filled-in centre.
Are those rear wheels from another model of the 2CV ?
Regards,
Geoff.
Hi Vlatko,
You really are getting stuck into your project, but from what I can see of your chassis, I would suggest has lost its structural integrity now because of what looks like really significant rust seen in the pictures. It would be better to transfer your suspension onto a new chassis, these are readily available in Europe. Talk to Viking in France who is on this website, he will point you in the right direction. Good luck and keep at it! Well done.
Looks like a new chassis is needed. Almost impossible to find in that region. Try Janez in Slovenia http://kezmah2cv.blogspot.com/
Good luck.
