From the seller:
This car has been an every day driver for the past five years, after restoration by a previous owner. It is a comfortable, 602 cc engined, tall geared, economical, fun car that sits on 100 to 110 Kph all day. Better over bumps then a Mini, Faster then a Morris Minor and cooler then a Moke. I’ve loved driving and owning this economical classic. It has to go as we now have too many cars etc.
The car is in good condition, with some rust in the bonnet (see photo). The Chassis is original and rust has been cut out of the floor pans, with new pans welded in. Comes with a selection of spares, oil filters, plugs etc. Parts are easy to get on the net and are not expensive, they just take a bit of time to get here. With over 8 million cars built of the various 2CV types, parts will never be an issue. There is a stain on the yellow canvas roof.
Located in Darwin with 11 months NT registration (recently over pits) Number Plate is ‘2CV’. Car can be picked up or I can deliver it to any transport yard in Darwin, for interstate delivery at buyers expense.

We purchased this car and are looking forward to working on it. My wife has wanted a 2CV for a while and this Dyane looked like a good way to get started. (I hope owning a Dyane qualifies us for membership 😉
The plan is to refurbish it, not to factory, but to a good-looking and drivable condition.
I’m looking forward to getting to know you as we proceed. We’ll certainly need some advice here and there. I’ll be updating my blog as we proceed if anyone’s interested. http://davidskeyboard.com. The section is called “Project Lola”.

We’re starting to work on Lola next week end, just documenting the current condition and getting a handle on how we will approach the restoration. We have reasonable mechanical skills but this will be bigger than anything we’ve done so far.
I look forward to getting to know other members as we progress.
