2cv Restoration Project Wanted

Hi Everyone,

I’ve been admiring 2cv’s for many years but never got around to owning one.
The time has come!
I’m looking for a restoration project.
My main criteria are that the car is mostly complete or complete, not beyond saving rust wise, preferably RH drive and the earlier the model the better (although in Australia, obviously I can’t be super fussy).
It needs to be able to be registered here without ridiculous involvement of engineers, so from what I understand it needs to have either been previously registered in the country and/or have the approved import paperwork.
I don’t mind if it needs rust repairs, paint, upholstery or mechanical work.
I’m in regional Victoria so the closer the better, but all options considered.
If anyone has a car, or any leads on who might have one, I’d be very grateful for the information.
