And who was that proud and surprised owner? Was it somebody who happens to own a red Hoffmann?

Do all the chassis frames have owners already?JohnKeymasterWelcome Daffy!
I have now added a link to the old 2CV Club Australia forum on the top of every page.
The posts you’re looking for are here:

http://www.aussiefrogs.com/forum/showthread.php?p=714451and I also created an overview on the new site: Importing a 2CV
JohnKeymasterThat seems like a very typical 2CV, I was thinking that maybe they were quite different. Here is ours:

CT is a type very popular here.
So are they any different? Do you have a photo?
JohnKeymasterHi Wing, welcome!@wing 41 wrote:
I own a 2cv6 CT.
But I wonder, what is a “CT”? Is that a local model?

Good work John, Peter and Gerry. I’ve migrated. This is timely for me as I will soon be seriously into my project and I look forward to swapping and sourcing bits and seeking engineering wisdom. Well done.
Thanks! With the new site you can use your own blog if you like to keep us all up to date with your project. That way we can cheer you on as well. 🙂

Great site !! congrats
I changed my user name to something more Citroen !Looking at your “About me” information, I understand why you use Deux Chevaux as a username: ” … I have a 16.2 hh T/B Gelding and a 15.2 hh Arab Gelding …” 🙂

… the person translating to English is a bit slack (he must be Australian) 😀 …
As you well know, there is a big difference between “relaxed” and “slack” :p !
I am thinking (dreaming? – hoping?) of going.
I rather avoid July and August in Europe because there are a few too many holiday-ers at that time. It must be because I am so used to being slack, Oops, I mean relaxed, over here.I guess they’d be expecting 5000 cars since it is in France?
JohnKeymasterShame the site is not available in English (yet).
Available in Dutch, German, French and Spanish.
We all know the French and the English don’t always get on too well, but at least they could translate the site into Australian :p.
Maybe a job for you, 2CViking?Anybody planning to go?
JohnKeymasterThe simplest I think is in the very unlikely event that some new member registers with the username of an existing AussieFrog user, then it is just a matter of the original user contacting me and then we can re-assign a new username to the new member.
I also added a comment to the Aussiefrog post and updated the notice for unregistered users on top of every page (you will have to log out to see it).JohnKeymasterWelcome Bob.
Hmmmm … I better check 2CViking’s credentials, he might well be an imposter 😉 !
I’ll add something to the introduction notice soon.Anybody who feels an imposter has taken over their identity, contact me and I’ll get to the bottom of it 😡 !!!
JohnKeymasterThe new software has the following new features:
Blogs
Every registered user can have his/her own blog now.
To post on your blog go to the Blog section (follow the link in the top menu),
then select My Blog from the sub-menu on the top,
then click on Create New Post on the right hand side somewhere near the top.Articles
Moderators can now create articles, either by creating an article from scratch, or by promoting a forum post to an article if it is considered that it is worthwhile to give the post more prominence. To create a new article, go to one of the Sections (follow the link from the homepage, left hand side menu, for example Technical),
then click on Create New Article on the right hand side somewhere near the top. This allows for categorisation of important information which would otherwise be buried somewhere in the forum as time goes by, I guess.
JohnKeymasterThanks guys for the vote of confidence. I must admit I am on a bit of a (steep) learning curve here, but I am slowly getting my head around it.
