For sale on eBay: Citroen 2CV Charleston 1986 in classic Burgundy-Black
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120910331068From the seller:Gorgeous 2cv Charleston in classic Burgundy and Black. Built in Paris in 1986. Now rebuilt, resprayed and with a reconditioned engine, this car will last for a lifetime. It will also bring you huge amounts of pleasure. It’s fun and economical, easy to park, and the roof rolls back to make it a convertible. I brought it in from the UK in early 2010 and have been driving it for two years because I love it so much. But I have two other 2cvs in my garage, so it needs to make way. It has new floors, new sills, a new chassis, a new hood, new battery, new king pins, new exhaust system, new parcel shelf, 5 new Mabor tyres, a reconditioned carburettor and much more besides. I have spent $2000 on the engine and brakes, and $2000 to brighten up the paintwork and straighten out the dents. It’s still not concours–it has a couple of spots of rust beneath the windows in the rear doors–but it’s a real eye-catcher and a beautiful, genuine car. Everywhere you go, people wave at you and put their thumbs up. The engine pulls really well; it always (but always) starts first time, and it has never (ever) given trouble. It has the original ignition because I’ve not bothered to fit the new electronic ignition and super coil that I bought for it. Any inspection is welcome, and I recommend you come and see it. The car has 19600 miles on the clock, but since just about everything has been renewed mileage isn’t really relevant. The car has been registered in NSW for almost 2 years (it expires in May) so it should not be a problem to register it interstate. Naturally, it also has a blue slip and import approval. It comes with the original handbook, wooden block and jack. And it’s looking for a good home. Go on, treat yourself. You won’t regret it.

Regards,
Andrew

Yes saw this one and the other Cream Dolly listed.
Very tempted by the Charleston indeed. Unfortunately would need to export to Singapore so going to checked that out first before contemplating an offer. Looks like quite a reasonable car though.

But still get to visit it every now and then.
Wish though I still had one here in Singapore.21 Oct 2014 at 10:56 am #987JohnKeymasterCongratulations, long journey following the dream, but got it in the end 🙂
