A website for owners of the world's greatest little car

Eloise, the 1974 2CV is about 1500km into her new life since restoration. All is going well except for one thing: the clutch is juddering. The flywheel clutch face was skimmed, new pressure plate (3-fingered type), centre plate, release bearing, even a new clutch cable were all fitted and all torqued to factory specs, but it judders on take-off. Not dreadfully, but enough to annoy the restorer (me) and make the other driver uneasy about driving the car and she, if you get my drift, needs to be easy about driving it. Recently I renewed all the engine mounts but it made no difference. There is negligible play in the driveshafts.
I’m out of ideas now so I would appreciate the collective wisdom and experience of the forum on the subject.
