- Crows Nest National Park is on the way (possible platypus sightings we missed at Carnarvon)
- RimFire, Clovelly & Mt Gowrie Wineries
- Exhilarating walks through ancient grass tree forests, Bunya pines and hidden mountain streams
- Your input of knowledge & special places to explore in this area
- You can either camp there, or find some other accommodation, and there are plenty of great walks

which we can highly recommend
For our Grand Dining Experience, we had a complementary ‘pick-up van’
driving us into the Goomeri Hotel where we met up with well-know
Citroen owner from Nanango – David & his wife. Thanks to Grahame
for organising this meet-up! And it was a GRAND night!
SATURDAY 20th November 2010
10am – On the way to Kingaroy we passed the Memorambi STOP SHOP –
with everything from spices, incense sticks, ear candles and a large assortment of ICE CREAMS!!!
Some of us went straight for the LICORICE ice cream – delicious!!!
Brian & Bruce exiting from the green sliding door.
About midday: driving through Kingaroy’s peanut country
A little later: And there’s the ‘Bunyas’ ahead!
A little later still: Driving through the ‘Bunyas’ to our accommodation –

open fireplace, amazing views and ssooo comfortable and affordable!!

‘Cloud Apparel’ loaned from Citroen 2CV Crew!!
Also rearing to go is Lyn with her new rainbow hat a-top
coaxing the sun to pierce the thick cloud cover – maybe??!!
Can it be the Abominable Bunyip himself???!!!
Nothing stops the intrepid 2CV Adventurers!!!
10.15am – And we’re off – on ‘shank’s pony’ this time – with Ian in the lead –
for a morning stroll through the swirling clouds and blustering winds of the Bunya

AND prepared a superb lunch of last night’s left-overs – including bottles of wine.
4pm – NOW IS THE HOUR to start saying GOODBYE to Ian & Cheryl

mountain thus silhouetting the conical tops of the Bunya pines.
Our view from the decking of Ringtail Lodge
